Leaves are beginning to change colors, the nights are feeling cooler and our days are getting shorter. Photographing Shelby and Chris’s Chico Canyon Trail engagement session was the first to make me feel like summer is finally coming to an end. And, I’m not mad about it!

For a few months, Shelby and I were back and forth about where and when their engagement photo session would take place. The first plan was cancelled due to the shelter in place order. The 2nd & 3rd plans were affected by the California fires. It felt like we’d never get these two in front of our cameras! Luckily, Shelby was so patient and flexible with me, she agreed to schedule this session on HER birthday, we also changed the location to her college town, and let me tell you… the wait was WORTH IT!

Shelby and Chris, you two are a beam of light in what has been a dark year for us! If anything, we are thankful that 2020 has brought us friends like you two. Thank you so much for a perfect afternoon and for showing us around one of your favorite locations! Miguel and I cannot wait to photograph your wedding day next year!
